Going to spend the weekend at cousin Tracy’s place. Had the 4th off so we drove down mid-morning. Traffic was ok. You could see that it would we overly crowded come evening commute time.

Spent the morning working on Tracy’s camper. The toilet valve frozen over the winter. Had to take it mostly apart. Tested the water system and the bathroom sink faucet froze and split too. Didn’t have a replacement for that. Fixed some wiring to the tail lights. The pigtail is badly weathered and needs replacement. I had a spare battery from the old camper and installed that and the 12 volt system came to life. The old batteries were very fried.
Took a day. Drive to Marys Peak. 4000 feet of elevation. A bit of a hike from the parking lot to the top, but worth it. Tracy’s dog pulled me up the hill. Good dog. Spectacular views from the top. Highly recommended. You can see the ocean and most of the Willamette Valley. Hood Mt. Jefferson Mt. and Sisters were all visible too. Would definitely go back. There’s very primitive camping near the top. Only a handful of site, all very unlevel, and a dry camp as well. Probably not worth trying out.

Home again. Heavy traffic all the way. Unloaded the camper in record time and now I need a shower.
