5-25-2024 Priest Lake State Park

Took Friday off to make the Memorial Day weekend longer.  Left about 10:30 for Spokane.   Stopped in to see grandpa.  His memory is far gone, but he’s doing pretty good for 105 years old.  Camped in mom and dad’s back yard.  

I don’t think I have ever stayed at the Indian Creek unit.  We may have driven through it once.  It’s full of really small children screaming at the top of their lungs.  We got a site nearly on the beach.  A really great view of the lake.  

A young boy on a bike got ran over by another on a bike and there was quite the commotion.  There was a lot of concern his ankle was broken.  Lorena got the first aid kit and I dug out the compression wrap and by the time we got over there a doctor of some sort was attending.  I guess we were the only ones to think of packing a compression wrap.  If it was broken it’s just a green stick fracture.  More than likely it’s sprained badly.  Probably won’t slow the kid down much.

Mom and dad are coming up today with Yvonne.  We will bake chicken in the Dutch oven and enjoy the lake.

Spent the day lounging with everyone.  Packed up as much as I could in the evening and up by 6am this morning to finish packing.  We hit traffic in Cle Elum all the way to Snoqualmie and it added an hour and a half to the drive.
