10-8-2021 Penrose Point State Park

I feel like we’ve been really busy but can’t exactly point to what’s been taking so much time from camping. The boys had the day off of school and I took half day off and we went down to Penrose. High 40’s low 50’s. Chilly at night. It rained quite a bit late Saturday. They have just the first loop open. The Ranger booth was open too. First time we’ve seen it manned sine we started coming here. Must have been quite a wind storm that came through a few weeks ago. Several large trees are down throughout the campground. Was probably very exciting if you were camping here at the time.

We did the usually exploring and turning over of rocks looking for small crabs and stomping through the beach mud. The boys complain bitterly about going but really and truly enjoy themselves when they get here. Josiah seems to like to go off on his own and have a little independence. Teagan is mostly a pest to big brother but otherwise keeps himself entertained and out of trouble.
