Uneventful drive down. Went through McMinville for as change of scenery. Arrived about 4:00 and got settled in short order. Chicken Stir fry for dinner.

Walked the beach a bit. Entertained the grandkids as best as possible. So much energy. Everyone seems to agree that Grayland is better. The highway is noisy for those in yurts on that side. The sites are a bit too close to each other. It’s a long drive. I think it’s warmer here. Not by much though. Kebabs over the fire for dinner.

Wandered to the back of the campground. Lots of sites back there, some reasonable pull through sites as well for those who pull trailers. Hamburgers for dinner.
Several days later
Didn’t manage to keep up with the journal. Cousin Tracy drover over and spent a couple days with us. Shelly showed up on Wednesday and said the drive was long and slow, but uneventful.
We drove to Yaquina Head lighthouse and had a look. Crowded. There were seals sunning themselves, puffins, and cormorants. The cormorants had fuzzy baby chicks.
I brought the Blackstone griddle and cooked all breakfasts on that. That made cooking for everyone so much easier. It will cook 9 pancakes at a time. We cooked several dinners on it too. It even fried chicken to an acceptable degree. The smoked brisket was a hit and there is none left.
Beverly Beach was pretty ok. Several people liked it, a few thought it was meh. We will need to do closer campgrounds for mom and dad in the future. I’ll push for Grayland next year.
