12-26-2025 Deception Pass

Got a cabin at the State Park for the weekend.  The camper is winterized and I don’t feel like undoing all that work.  Jenny and family are here with us.  Pleasant drive up with only a little traffic. Raining a lot.

Drove down to Fort Casey.  Walked the ramparts, and grounds.   There is camping here as well.  Much more open and crowded.  It’s also right next to the ferry dock.  Drove in to Coupeville.  Quaint is the word I think.  Lots of little shops with interesting wares.  Most interesting was the place claiming to be a bakery.  There was no bread, no cakes, and really, nothing baked.  They did sell panini though?

Last camping trip of the year I guess.  Too bad traffic is usually so terrible going north.  I wouldn’t mind camping here more
