8-24-2019 Rainbow Falls State Park, Wa.
Shelly is watching the boys this weekend while Lorena and I get away for a quick anniversary weekend. 15 years.
We drove down hwy 167 right in the middle of rush hour yesterday. The truck runs very hot in that dead stop traffic. I need to look into getting a larger radiator and maybe electric fans to help with cooling. Also, maybe i should fix the AC one of these years.

Not a bad little park. The old growth forest with the trails is across the river. The foot bridge washed out some years ago so there’s no access from the park. That would have been nice to see. We walked up the Willapa Hills trail instead. There were several apple trees heavy with fruit. Some not quite ripe red apples that was very sour, and a ripe yellow apple that was very sweet. Saw some crab apple too but couldn’t reach.
As far as camping goes its typical state park. Some of the site are very close to others, especially the tent only sites. There are quite a few that are spaced well enough. There’s even a few with utilities. We left the light over the table on most of Saturday and Sunday morning and still had plenty of power. The LED conversion is paying off.
I wonder if the temperature problem in traffic is a clutch fan going bad. The off brand are not expensive. I’ll replace it and see what happens.
