I’m pretty sure I camped here when I was very young. 5 or 6 maybe? The site pads are narrow and mostly not level. There’s reasonable covers between sites. The road is very narrow. I don’t think you’d want to try and pull a really long trailer through here. A lot of the sites have power and water. Josiah set up a tent. Teagan wanted to sleep in the camper. I suggested he put up a hammock and sleep in that instead. He thought that was a great idea. I will need to remember that for the week long family trip in July.
I finally have an appointment to get the little things that were wrong with the camper on delivery fixed. I think they are mostly cosmetic. You would think that build quality would be more of a focus for new campers. Overall the camper is such a significant upgrade from what we had before. I wish the storage was better thought out though. There’s a lot of wasted space, and the largest parts of storage (under the table seats) are difficult to access. The slide out needs windows on the side walls. The window at the galley should be larger. I’m really happy with the size of the grey and black water tanks. If we work hard at it we can manage to get the grey over half full over a weekend trip, but the black is very difficult to fill even a third full. I’ve taken to running the water for 15 minutes into the toilet on the last day. It lightens the fresh water storage and if I brake and accelerate a little more aggressively washes out the black tank on the way to the septic dump.
Lorena says the beach is a 2/3 mile walk. The weather is supposed to be nice. Should be a great day for doing nothing.

The walk to the beach wasn’t very far. Less than a mile. Between my back and my hips it’s getting more difficult to even walk that far. Lorena took the boys to the lake later in the day and rented paddle boards. Teagan fell in towards the end because he was horsing around. Lorena managed to stay up the whole time. Josiah sat at the shore and watched. He’s not a water bug like Teagan.
The 4 inch memory foam topper was a great idea. My back doesn’t hurt near as much when I wake up and I’m not up ever couple hours tossing and turning. I need to figure out a receiver extension so I can put bikes on the back for the long trip next month. I will need something in the range of 22 inches and a reduction from 3 inch to 2 inch.
