4-24-2020 Teanaway
We need to work on getting out more often this year. It’s such a pain to deal with traffic on Friday afternoons though. We haven’t been to Teanaway in a few years and we don’t have to deal with traffic driving that direction.
They’ve done a lot of work to the campground. They blocked off the fields near the river for walk in camping. They moved the roads around a bit and laid down a lot of gravel. There are picnic tables and fire rings and vault toilets. It’s a really nice place. Still a dry camp but for a weekend we’d find it challenging to use the 40 gallons of water we haul. We definitely need to come here more often. There was a steady flow of traffic but it wasn’t real full. Maybe that will change come summer
I replaced the MAP sensor and the IAC on the pickup. The MAP wasn’t holding vacuum. The IAC didn’t seem real coked up but it wasn’t an expensive part and they seem to be a regular failure point. I’m not confident that solves the idle issue but I didn’t sit in Stop and go traffic either.
One downside of this place is the lack of a dump site. There no place to dump between here and home either. I guess I will drive east to the rest stop. Its about 5 miles farther east and I’ll have to drive a few more miles east to get onto the eastbound lanes. Shouldn’t be a big deal I guess.
